Europe 2019: ABBA The Museum

Europe 2019

ABBA The Museum

Stockholm, Sweden

ABBA The Museum is now a Stockholm favorite and we weren't going to miss it. I'm not a big ABBA fan, nor am I a huge fan of Mama Mia (this is a can't miss if you're either), but it seemed so quirky and fun that I made sure we hit up this place when we were here. It was a good call.

It's a very interactive museum. It's basically full of fun things to do. You can sing...you can dance....(see what I did there?) We did pretty much everything and had a good time.

There are a lot of wardrobes as well. Probably too many, but they're spectacular so it's fun.

Samantha is playing with the soundboard here. You could isolate instruments and mix them with other songs. Basically you could play producer.

Here's the "You can sing" part. You can basically perform karaoke to any ABBA song in your own booth. If you scan your ticket in before doing any of the activities you can access your performance for 15 days after the visit.

....and the "You can dance" part.....

This was an odd set up where I think you could digitally paint things. I think you were fixing up the hotel from Mama Mia. I didn't get the appeal but Sam really liked it.

Sam really liked the whole place. She had fun playing with all of the interactive options and posing in the many photo ops.

They have a very nice gift shop and there's a neat little resturaunt as well (we didn't eat there). It's also just a short walk from the Vasa Museum. We took that walk and then hopped on a boat right behind ABBA across the harbor. I would recommend this stop if you're here. It's a lot of fun for everyone and hard to fault. It doesn't take itself too seriously.

If you're here for an evening, look up Mama Mia the Party, try to get tickets, and thank me later if you do.
