The random generator program really seems to like Mercedes. This will be a short one tonight. I was quite excited about this car when I bought it, but unfortunately it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. I got the feeling that it hadn't been taken care of very well by its previous owners. I tried to address as many issues as I could, most of which were interior fitment problems. It ran pretty well and looked OK with the Sport Package (a must on this generation of S-Class), but it never really felt quite right to me.
I drove it every day for about a month and then it was relegated to being strictly a golf car (meaning my clubs stayed in the trunk and the only time I drove it was to play golf). This generation of S-Class were great cars to drive, but a bit maintenance intensive. This one was a poor example, but I had some fantastic ones later on.
