Europe 2021: Ronda

Europe 2021:

Ronda

The next stop on our trip was the town of Ronda, about 65 miles west of Malaga in Southern Spain. I added this stop because the pictures of the cliffs and bridge connecting the two sides of the city intrigued me. Ronda is known for its cliff-side location and a deep chasm that carries the GuadalevĂn River and divides the town.

I booked us at the Hotel Don Miguel, which overlooks the bridge and has a few rooms with these really sketchy balconies that feel like they may plummet you to your death if you jump up and down on them. Out of concern for our children, we rarely went out there together.

The hotel location really paid off at night. The bridge is more striking from the opposite side, but our view wasn't bad.

We enjoyed Ronda. There are other things to see and do in the town and it's a great location. I'm not sure I'd want to spend an entire vacation here, but as a stop it was a lot of fun.
