De-formed and De-graded
So after the slab is poured, the next step was for the concrete guys to come out and remove the forms that they had set weeks ago. The weather has been great all week but for some reason they just didn't show up day after day. Bill had dirt delivered for grading but none of that could happen before the forms were removed. Our entire household took a trip to Round Top for some antiquing on Saturday and we were pleased to return and find that the forms had finally been removed.
Monday morning the guys were out grading around the slab. I'm glad they got to this because we had basically created a moat around the guest house every time it rained.
It's starting to look better. It also has reminded me that I have to start thinking about landscaping. The next step will be framing. I think Bill was having some issues scheduling framers so we'll see how long it takes to get this phase going.
